KioskClock FAQ

KioskClock is a QR code time clock for small businesses. You print a badge for each employee, put any tablet at the door, and employees scan their badge to clock in and scan again to clock out. You see who's working, fix mistakes and export hours for payroll.

Each employee gets a printed badge with a unique QR code. A tablet at your workplace runs the time clock in its web browser. An employee taps Scan badge and holds the code to the camera: the first scan clocks them in, the next scan clocks them out, and the hours are worked out automatically.

No. Employees never create an account or install anything. Their printed badge is all they need. Only the business owner signs in, with a one-time code sent by email.

Any iPad, Android tablet or laptop with a camera and a modern browser (Safari, Chrome, Edge or Firefox). Nothing to install: open the time clock page, allow the camera, and leave it running. USB and Bluetooth barcode scanners that type into the browser work too.

Yes. Tap Start free, add your crew, print the badges and scan one, all without an account. When you like it, sign in with your email to keep it; the badges you already printed keep working.

Yes. Up to 3 employees is free for as long as you like, with every feature included: badges, the tablet time clock, timesheets, corrections and payroll export. No credit card is needed to start.

Team is $10 a month for up to 25 employees. Unlimited is $25 a month for any number of employees and locations. Pay yearly and it's $100 or $250 a year, two months free. Prices are flat, not per employee, and you can change or cancel any time.

The dashboard shows everyone who is still clocked in and flags shifts that have been open unusually long. You can set the correct clock-out time in a couple of taps; edited shifts are marked so your records stay honest.

Yes. You can change clock-in and clock-out times, add a shift someone missed, or delete a mistaken one. Every change is labelled as edited in the timesheet and in exports.

Choose a pay period (weekly, every two weeks, twice a month or monthly) and download Excel or CSV. You get each employee's total hours plus every shift with dates and times, ready to type into or import into your payroll or accounting software.

Reissue it from the Employees page and print a new one. The old QR code stops working immediately, and the employee's hours history stays as it was.

A badge is like any key card: someone could scan a coworker's. The tablet shows each person's name in large type after every scan, so keeping it where a manager can see it is a strong deterrent, and you can reissue a badge at any time. Photo capture on scan is on our roadmap.

The tablet needs an internet connection when someone scans, because every punch is saved straight to your account. If the connection drops, the screen says so and the employee can scan again a moment later.

Yes. Set up as many time clocks as you like and disconnect any of them from Settings. All punches land in the same timesheets.

Nothing is deleted. If you have more employees than your plan covers, the extra ones (newest first) can still clock out but can't clock in until you upgrade or archive someone. Your timesheets and exports stay available.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and every business can only ever read its own records. Tablets are paired with a secret that you can revoke at any time, and they can only clock people in and out: they can't open your dashboard.

No. KioskClock has no per-employee fees. It's free for up to 3 employees, $10 a month flat for up to 25, and $25 a month flat for unlimited employees, so hiring never raises your bill within a plan.

Open Settings, then Billing, and cancel. You keep your paid plan until the end of the period you've paid for, then return to Free.
